Specific Job Responsibilities of Placement:
Volunteers will be responsible for planning, setting up, and hosting a series of service projects to be held on Martin Luther King, Jr Day 2026 (January 19, 2026).

As a volunteer on the Day of Service project, you must meet the following requirements in order to complete your project placement and receive project credit for the year. If you have any questions or cannot meet the requirements as described, please contact the Placement Chair at
placement@jljackson.org for further direction.
Note: The following list is an outline of the project requirements. As needs arise, this list may be modified or expounded upon to complete the project properly for the Community Partner.
- Attend project orientation.*
- Attend cultural competency training.*
- Complete your online project evaluation and online placement evaluation upon project conclusion.*
- Participate in and attend planning meetings within your specified project area as determined by the Chair (dates TBA).
- Volunteers MUST attend the Day of Service 2026 (on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - January 19, 2026) and remain at the event for the full-time commitment specified by the project chair.
