Touch A Truck® Jackson is a community project and fund development business for JLJ. It offers hands-on opportunities for children to play, climb, explore and touch trucks, emergency response vehicles, heavy machinery, and other equipment. Children are given the opportunity to meet equipment operators, truck drivers, and first responders. Activities may also include safety demonstrations, face painting, and appearances by special characters.

Specific Job Responsibilities of Placement:
Touch A Truck® Jackson volunteers will assist the Touch A Truck® Jackson Steering Committee as needed with project research, community partner engagement, and the coordination/planning/implementation of Touch A Truck® Jackson 2026.

As a volunteer on the Touch A Truck® Jackson project, you must meet the following requirements to complete your project placement and receive project credit for the year. Important Information:
Touch A Truck® Jackson is a Year-Round project but Spring-Intensive. Members must be available on the days of the actual events.
Volunteers must be able to attend Touch A Truck® Jackson 2026 if selecting this placement. The date and location of TAT 2026 will be determined by the TAT Steering Committee in conjunction with the JLJ Board of Directors (the event is likely to be held the last weekend in March).
Volunteers must be flexible, allow for adjustments throughout the year, and perform additional duties as directed by the Touch A Truck® Jackson Steering Committee.
